Reflections on the living will as a anticipated directive of will, in the perspective of the principles of autonomy and dignity of life

O estudo teve como objetivo compreender sobre a diretiva antecipada de vontade na ótica do testamento vital, destacando os princípios éticos da autonomia da pessoa e da dignidade humana. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de uma revisão de artigos científicos, utilizando o método da pesquisa bibliográfica, nas bases de dados do portal Regional da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde da Organização Pan-americana de Saúde entre os anos de 2011 a 2021. Após o levantamento dos resultados foram analisados dez artigos científicos. Observa-se a necessidade de expandir as discussões acerca da compreensão do testamento vital, no âmbito social, jurídico e acadêmico, a fim de contribuir com sua legitimação, externando a autonomia do paciente mediante a esse contexto tão conflituoso, que é a terminalidade de vida.Downloads
