Identification of unconformities related to food handling and receipt of bills and coins by fairs in the city of Santa Fé do Sul – SP, Brazil

Introdução: É notório identificar que a maioria dos feirantes não pratica as boas práticas de manipulação de alimentos, o que pode acarretar em possíveis casos de contaminação. Objetivo: Identificar as inconformidades relacionadas à manipulação de alimentos e recebimento de cédulas e moedas pelos feirantes da cidade de Santa Fé do Sul - SP. Método: A pesquisa foi constituída por avaliação do local de manipulação e consumo dos alimentos comercializados na feira, utilizando-se como instrumento de coleta de dados uma tabela, especificando o tipo de produto vendido na barraca, o número de pessoas trabalhando, o número de pessoas que recebiam dinheiro e manipulavam alimentos, e se o ambiente era provido ou não de cuba para higienização das mãos. Resultados: Em relação às 29 pessoas observadas nesta pesquisa e que manipulavam alimentos, 12 delas também recebiam dinheiro. Em relação a existência de pia para higienização das mãos, em nenhum local de venda e manipulação de produtos a mesma foi identificada. Conclusão: Sugere-se que a vigilância sanitária municipal, juntamente com profissionais nutricionistas, crie programas de conscientização e treinamento de boas práticas com os feirantes, além de requererem à prefeitura municipal a instalação de pias para a higienização das mãos.
